The 1st Annual Shield Award was held on Tuesday, October 19th at Sal DeForte's Ristorante in Ewing.  We packed the restaturant with a great turnout.  Hopewell Council #7103 takes great pride in recognizing Police Office Christopher Kascik, Hopewell Township Police Department, Firefighter and Captain Nick Gaudioso, Pennington Fire Department, and EMT President and Crew Chief Daniel Boone, Pennington First Aid Squad for their outstanding service to their community.

Presenting the award to Police Office Christopher Kascik was the Chief of Hopewell Township Police Department, George Meyer.

Presenting the award to Firefighter Captain Nick Gaudioso was his Chief, Dave Pinelli from the Pennington Fire Department.

Presenting the award to EMT President and Crew Chief Daniel Boone, was his Assistant Captain, John Muccioli from the Pennington First Aid Squad.

The Hopewell Council of Knights of Columbus has been sponsoring charitable programs, community and youth activities, and special programs that serve the needs of their church and community for over thirty years.  The Shield Award is an example of one such special program.  Their personal commitment to honor the men and women who proudly serve their community in time of need reflects their dedication to the principles of charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism.
