All boys and girls ages 10-14 are invited to participate in the local level of competition for the 2013 Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship. The local competition will be held on Sunday, January 13, 2013 (rain date: Sunday, January 20, 2013) from 11:00am – 12:00pm at

In 2011, the Knights of Columbus distributed a record $158 million nationally to charities and also provided 70 million hours of volunteer service to groups like Habitat for Humanity, the Special Olympics, and Coats for Kids. The Knights have also provided more than $500 thousand to victims of Hurricane Sandy. COMPETITION
Each participant gets three warm-up throws and then 15 consecutive attempts. Participants may compete as soon as they register. Participants who have the highest score for their age/gender must be prepared to stay until 12:00 pm. Winners of each age/gender group then participate in the District Championship held in February. Regional and State Championships are also held. Entrants may only participate in one local competition. There is no cost for participation. Participants are required to furnish proof of age and written parental consent. Age eligibility is determined by the age of the contestant as of January 1, 2013.
